okay uh

1. i havent animated in 3 months
2. i am an incredible history enthusiast. i love world history and culture.
3. i am an incredible film enthusiast.
4. i am really involved with theater
5. i do a lot of improvisation work and stuff
6. whenever i draw my wrist cracks outloud sometimes.
7. whenever i animated a lot, i would sometimes traditionally animate what i was animating on the computer and see which came out better.
8. i am a huge cartoon history enthusiast. i know a ridiculous amount about designers from the classical era and am obsessed with warner bros. directors (specifically bob clampett and chuck jones[mid 40's-60's])
9. i was deaf for the first 2 years of my life
10. i actually discussed a 2D vs. 3D debate with an animation student at comic con over the summer, he was more technology endowed, and said that 3D is far superior over 2D. after laying down some hardstone but un-opinionated facts, he finally gave in and told me that i was a fucking nerd for knowing that much about traditional animation. something i am really proud of. fuck you

the new speed racer trailer, really showcases the art direction the wachowski bros are heading for.
what i like about this movie, is that the bros. aren't aiming for a realistic perception of the speed racer genre. they're completely stylizing everything, down to CGI exaggeration to weird saturated color theories. i really like it, it's goofy and fun, and at the same time badass. i dunno, i just felt like i needed to say that.

and an update on whatever, uh. i've been super busy with theater lately. i'm also really getting into film, it's an incredible art form. really fun too.

haven't animated in forever, but i'm still keeping in touch with all things...animation wise. i dunno, but you guys take it easy.

i have been dead the past 3 months mainly cuz i've been super busy.
mainly cuz:
-i'm in an improv troupe
-i moved out of my house in thanksgiving, and i just moved back in today. we were putting tile down.

mainly the house thing. that really screwed me over. i havent animated since november 25th. pretty crazy.

anyways, theres no way i can complete the vacuum, finishing it now would be like slapping myself from 6 months ago(when i started it). ill slap on some weird ending and cry.

i had a christmas cartoon planned out, i storyboarded it one night after watching some cartoons, and i really liked the design of the main little kid. now that i have a computer, and i have some time, and i've improved a lot in the past 3 months, i guess ill give another try at a blackluck cartoon. with that little kid.

and to keep me motivated, i guess ill post snippets/concept art or whatever. i have this awesome painting program from like 1998 and its hard but fun to use, so now my gruesome closeups can look as crazy as i want them to be.

anyways, expect cartoony crazy junk in the next few months or so!
